Remember, he wasn't re-selected by you!

In his latest campaign leaflet Councillor Adrian Pearce claims that he will 'continue' to involve local people in decision making through the neighbourhood forum.

Well . . . in front of 60-70 people including the public, Councillors and the press I questioned the prospect of pedestrianising Market Street in Stalybridge. This was on the 17th October last year.

Upon being questioned he retorted ' I really don't care what you think Lee'

Everyone heard it and as you can imagine the gasps were deafening. Many, including myself asked that there were no intentions to pedestrianise Market Street to be minuted. It fell on deaf ears as at the next meeting on the 23rd January I asked why it had not been minuted. Again we were fobbed off with around 70% of the public walking out of the meeting in despair.

On your behalf I will be attending the next meeting on the 27th March and asking the same question.

This is Tameside Labour's idea of democracy in action!

I challenge any Labour Councillor for either Stalybridge or Tameside to dispute this statement.

Vote for change in May, vote for Stalybridge Town Party.
