Aldi Car Park Update

Following the sale of the Back Melbourne Street Public Car Park, it was noted that the signs stated that car parking was for Aldi customer only. This was despite assurances given by local councillors at a Stalybridge Town Council meeting that Aldi had agreed as part of the sale that the public could use the car park.

After this meeting, members of the Stalybridge Town Party carried out further research and contacted the council with our concerns.

We are pleased to say that as a result of our activities the signage on the Aldi Car Park has been updated and the stipulation that the car park was for the use of Aldi customers only has been removed.
